Overstocked? Yikes!
Another thing they don't tell you about Resale? You start collecting things to sell faster than you make sales... yikes.
September Blog Post
By Ashra Wright, owner of Happy Haul Resale
Hi resale besties! Welcome to my September blog post! I have a few small things to discuss this month, but first let's go over goal setting. In August, my goals were to finish my vendor booth wishlist, create a flyer for The Reseller Roundtable, and make a group for it. Luckily, I got all of this done and a few extra things! I did my first Whatnot show (yes, I finally got that working), and it was a fail. I expected that, though. Whatnot is very hard to get started, and me not being a super popular established business did not help. I'm not discouraged, though. It was sort of a good time to figure out I need a better microphone!
Another thing -- I didn't realize what a lot of resellers meant by "Resale will consume your life." I now confidently walk around everywhere
taking note of the resale value of items. "You could sell that," has become my version of "how are you?"
In a way, it's kind of funny. I've started watching shows about resale and filling my social media with it. I guess hyperfixations are funny like that. Something you would have never cared about a year ago, is suddenly all you can think about. I took a break from writing this and found a new item to sell! I really need to stop.
Anyways, I'd like to mark down this month's goals, and list my community news points for this month.
September Goals
- List Books/DVDs on Vinted
- Organize my stock
- Price some of my new stock
- Prepare for the Sony Playstation Haul Release
- Figure out what Vendor event I'll be heading to next!
Community News
- If you have any Sony Playstation games in physical form, be sure to value and list them! I predict they will be quite popular in the upcoming year.
